Football isn't Lionel Messi's only sporting passion, and the Inter Miami superstar is reportedly set to create a bike worth €15,000.
The Argentine superstar has become a benchmark in his profession, with Champions League titles, a World Cup crown and eight Golden Balls forming part of his historic trophy collection. He is said to be “finished” with soccer, although more success is sought in MLS.
While kicking a ball made Messi a global superstar, he was always a big fan of Cycling. In 2015, the South American GOAT received a gift of a Team Sky Pinarello Dogma F8 bike and a team jersey bearing his name, jersey number and his country's flag from the current head of INEOS and from Manchester United, Sir Dave Brailsford.
A bike for 15,000 euros
According to Relevo, Messi is now preparing to bring his own bike to market. In 2025, the 37-year-old, in collaboration with a world-famous cyclist, would deliver a personalized bike priced between 10,000 and 15,000 euros.
Messi is not the only personality from the world of football to be interested in cycling. His international coach, Lionel Scaloni, said how the sport was “
wonderful ”, while David Silva, Eden Hazard and Fabio Cannavaro are all big fans.
