A Dolberg of great evenings
He is the man in form, the Danish striker left his mark on the match. A few minutes after a lucky opening goal (1-0, 23′), the Dane scored a magnificent assist on Correct (2-0, 38′) which concludes a well-conducted action.
To continue his great evening, and following a nice slalom from his teammate Edozie, Dolberg adds to the score with a free kick (3-0, 45′). In the second half, Dolberg plant, again (4-0, 77′). The serial scorer continues his momentum and adds to his credit a ninth goal in six consecutive games.
Disappointing Ghent
Despite possibilities at the start of the match, and a pressing which asphyxiated the Anderlecht players in their area pushing them to build from long balls, the Gant players took on water when the Mauves opened the scoring.
An error from Coosemans could have allowed them to reduce the gap at the start of the match, but we will only remember from their first period the rapid exclusion of their defender Touranigha which destroyed their chances of coming back to the score.
A quieter second half
Anderlecht continued to dominate this meeting. Outnumbered, the Gantois had difficulty getting out of their camp. Anderlecht tried repeatedly to drive the point home, notably with a beautiful shot from Edozie at the start of the second half, without success.
Ghent tried as best they could to get back up, notably by bringing in new blood in the 65th minute, but a deliberate kick from Samoise destroyed their chances of coming back. The Mauves were able to advance, and even increase the score for a fourth time with a magnificent goal from Dolberg, which once again confirms his status as an indisputable starter in the Anderlecht eleven. He was able to leave to the applause of his supporters, replaced by Vazquez.
The Anderlechtois have not decreased in intensity, a CSC by Tiago Araujo (5-0, 85′) and a but by Francis Have fun (6-0, 88′) finished annihilating the Gantois.
The Mauves continue their third match in the league with more than four goals difference. Impressive.
