The woman accused of killing three people in Ontario appeared again Wednesday in a Toronto mental health court from the jail where she has been incarcerated since her arrest two months ago. A judge in charge of current affairs was exasperated upon learning that no prosecutor has yet been appointed in this case, especially since the psychiatric report on the accused is ready.
Sabrina Kauldhar remained standing for the short duration of her appearance by videoconference from Milton prison, west of Toronto. She was arrested on October 3 at a motel in Burlington.
The 30-year-old woman is accused of the premeditated murder of a 77-year-old man in Hamilton, whom she allegedly chose at random, according to police.
She also faces two charges of unpremeditated murder in the deaths of a 66-year-old woman in Toronto and a 47-year-old man in Niagara Falls.

The victims are Trinh Thi Vu, of Toronto, Lance Cunninghamof Niagara Falls, et Mario Bilich of Hamilton. Investigators have already confirmed that all three victims were stabbed.
Defense lawyer Sherif Foda was represented by a law student, who confirmed their office had received the file and a copy of the psychiatric assessment from the Crown that the judge Edward Kelly had ordered in mid-October.
No further information about the evidence emerged from the hearing, but the judge Heather Pringle took a few minutes to read the report in question in silence. She then approached the accused, but without success.

Sabrina Kauldhar, with a haggard look, was frozen and did not seem to understand what was being asked of her. Reading the report, I am not surprised
then blurted out Justice Pringle of the Ontario Court of Justice.
The magistrate also appeared impatient and exasperated upon learning from the prosecutor in charge of current affairs that no Crown prosecutor had yet been assigned to this case.
These are very serious accusations.
she recalled.
The magistrate decided to bring Ms Kauldhar back before Judge Kelly on December 20 to speed things up.

She also requested that a psychiatrist CHAM be available to see if the accused is fit to stand trial.
No bail hearing date is therefore scheduled at this stage of the proceedings.
Court documents obtained by CBC show that Sabrina Kauldhar has faced justice in the past and has been convicted of violent offenses in Kitchener, Orillia and Brampton.
Her last place of residence was in Toronto, where for two years she had rented a room in the basement of a property in the west of the metropolis.
The owner of the house, Thanh Vo, described her as a quiet tenant. It was also he who made the macabre discovery of the body of the sixty-year-old, who had been living in the same apartment for several months.
