In Isère, a 66-year-old man was found dead on Saturday evening, stabbed, in his apartment in Voiron. His wife was taken into custody shortly after the macabre discovery. According to the local press, it was the septuagenarian herself who alerted a neighbor on Saturday around 6:30 p.m., shortly after having suffered “several stab wounds” to her husband.
A 66-year-old man was found dead on Saturday evening, stabbed, in his apartment in Voiron (Isère), and his wife was taken into police custody shortly after the macabre discovery, the Grenoble prosecutor's office said on Sunday. Aged 70, the victim's wife was interviewed on Sunday morning by police officers from the local judicial police service in Voiron, prosecutor Eric Vaillant told the press, confirming information from the regional daily Le Dauphiné Libéré.
According to the newspaper, it was the septuagenarian herself who alerted a neighbor on Saturday around 6:30 p.m., shortly after having stabbed her husband “several times” during an altercation which “degenerated”. This neighbor then contacted the police and emergency services, the latter being unable to resuscitate the victim on site, according to this source.
