In his tribute, the man who knew her well wrote: “With her, it is the whole history of the talents of this institution, with its secrets, its anecdotes, its joys, its dramas which leave us to join the path of peace and eternal happiness.”

Josette Arrigoni began her career as Gérard Philipe’s secretary at the Artmédia agency, before becoming an agent herself. She was particularly responsible for the careers of Annie Girardot and Jean Rochefort. She and Dominique Besnehard worked together for about twenty years at Artmédia, a famous agency with an international reputation that has seen famous clients succeed one another, such as Jean-Paul Belmondo, Gérard Depardieu, Nathalie Baye and Catherine Deneuve.

Arlette Azémar in “Ten Percent”

“She was a damn good woman, very honest, hardworking, like you don’t see anymore. Attentive to the actors who loved her very much,” confides Dominique Besnehard. A legend in the industry, these character traits notably inspired the character of Arlette Azémar, played by Liliane Rovère, in the multi-award winning series, including at the Emmy Awards, Ten percent (2015-2020), created by the producer.

The dean of artistic agents, as Josette Arrigoni was, represented the memory of the agency, the developments in the acting profession and the detailed knowledge of the environment.
