The Las Vegas Grand Prix is always contested on Saturday evening on Uncle Sam's land, for an audience in Europe on a Sunday morning. Russell on pole position in Las Vegas

The Mercedes showed themselves in good shape during the various free practice sessions here in Las Vegas, while we were more expecting the Ferraris. But the low temperatures and a fairly dirty track caused a real headache for the mechanics and drivers. In these conditions, Russell and Hamilton were able to do well, although the seven-time world champion was unable to convert his good weekend, he only started 10th.

With Russell in pole position, a Ferrari was able to move to the front row, that of Sainz. He who had a big mishap last year when he exploded his flat bottom during Free Practice 1 on a manhole cover, he can position himself this year as a candidate for victory. But this first row will be refereed by the astonishing Pierre Gasly who placed his Alpine in 3rd place, the euphoria of his team from its double podium in Brazil remains intact. With Ocon on 11th place on the grid, the French team can hope for a good result.

Charles Leclerc, who complained about the temperature of his tires, inherits 4th place on the starting grid, ahead of Max Verstappen who limits the damage and places himself in front of his opponent for the title, Lando Norris. For the fight for 6th place among manufacturers between Alpine, Racing Bulls and Haas, each team has a driver in the Top 10. The start of the race will be given this Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m. French time.
