Atalanta Bergamo temporarily took the lead in the Italian Championship thanks to its seventh consecutive victory, at Parma (3-1) on Saturday during the 13th day.
Atalanta wasted no time and took the lead in the 4th minute thanks to their Italian international Mateo Retegui who consolidated his first place in the scorers' ranking with his 12th goal of the season.
Lookman secures victory
The Brazilian Ederson doubled the lead in the 39th minute, before Matteo Cancellieri revived the promoted player after returning from the locker room (49th).
But Ademola Lookman ensured the victory for his team in the 75th minute by taking a cross from Juan Cuadrado.
With its 28 points and a better goal difference, Atalanta dislodged Inter Milan from first place, taking the lead thanks to their success earlier in the day in Verona (5-0).
Gian Piero Gasperini's team is two points ahead of Naples, leader before this 13th day, which hosts AS Roma on Sunday.
