Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. Tonight: the third part of a 100% cult comedy saga.

In 2006, an event comedy was released in theaters: Les Bronzés 3 amis pour la vie, the third part of the cult saga led by the Splendid troupe (who could soon reunite for another film). The opportunity to find our happy troublemakers gathered at the Prunus Resort, a luxury hotel that Popeye takes care of more or less well as manager, and which belongs to his wife, heiress to a large Italian fortune.

27 years (!) after Les Bronzés font du ski, how are these iconic characters of the French comedy, played by Gérard Jugnot, Christian Clavier, Marie-Anne Chazel, Michel Blanc, Thierry Lhermitte and Josiane Balasko? Not too bad!

And The Bronzed 3which sees the return behind the camera of Patrice Leconte, is a somewhat uneven comedy, the fact remains that the entertainment remains of quality and fulfills its contract. The mischievous spirit of the troupe is still there, a real nostalgic side emerges from the whole and we are especially entitled to real moments of frank laughter including one that is absolutely hilarious. Which one? The one where Bernard (Gérard Jugnot) attends his son’s coming out (played by his own son Arthur). An irresistible scene to be found in the player below.

It is Thierry Lhermitte et Christian Clavier who formed the core of the script writing, around which each member of the happy team came to make their own contribution. “The process lasted almost six months, we had meetings to find out what we wanted to do”declared Christian Clavier to our colleagues at Ciné Live.

10 million spectators at the meeting

“Then the idea of a new Bronzés came about, and Thierry and I went to Corsica for about ten days to write a synopsis.”he continues. “Fifteen pages that we submitted to the others. They immediately got hooked on what these characters had become. It then went quite quickly. We spent four intense months on the writing, those who were free came, those who were less able came intermittently.”

The Bronzed 3quite logically, was a huge public success with more than 10 million admissions in French cinemas. This Sunday evening, the Splendid is in your living room to relax your zygomatic muscles. How can you resist?

Tonight on TF1 at 9:30 p.m.
