An investigation has been opened by the Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) after numerous people reported suspicious phone calls. These came from an operator pretending to be from the Ministry of Energy. A pre-recorded female voice offers, among other things, a solar energy check or solar panels, reports The Parisian.

Any solicitation by an operator who claims to belong to the administrative sphere is likely to be fraudulent.” The objective of the investigations is, among other things, to try to determine who is behind these calls. “We will try to understand the operator’s economic model and the type of fraud applied,” explained the DGCCRF, which also intends to verify that these calls are not abusive.
