A simple administrative document

It is simply an administrative act which does not allow the child’s parents to recover his bones and his clothes discovered during the last searches organized by the gendarmes. Its objective is to formalize Emile’s death and to allow the family to undertake administrative and civil procedures.

The investigation continues

Investigations are continuing to try to explain the death of the little boy who disappeared on July 8, 2023 in Haut-Vernet. On Saturday March 30, 2024, the skull of little Émile was found by a walker in a forest not far from the hamlet. A few days later, clothes and other bones were discovered.
