“The three occupants of the plane which had just taken off from Lognes aerodrome have died,” the prosecutor of Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) told AFP.
The victims are “two men and a woman“, added Jean-Baptiste Bladier, specifying that “the pilot was born in 1989“.

The accident took place near Collégien in Seine-et-Marne without the plane hitting any vehicles. The motorway was closed in both directions shortly after the accident. The causes of the accident remain unknown for the moment according to the police.

An investigation has been opened, according to the Meaux public prosecutor’s office. The investigations will be carried out by the air transport gendarmerie.

An administrative investigation was also launched, carried out by the Bureau of Investigation and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA).

According to the association of residents of the Lognes-Emerainville aerodrome, ARALE, this is the second time in a year that a plane has crashed on the A4. “Local residents deplore the security risk around this aerodrome which flies over an extremely urbanized area.“, explains the association.
