One kilogram of cocaine pure at 40.5% in the trunk for a street value of approximately 60,000 euros. This discovery was made by the customs service, at the Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines toll, on the A10 motorway, on the evening of Tuesday, June 25, 2024. The drug was hidden in the upholstery of the car, carefully wrapped in small packages. They are called olives.

Originally from Gironde (department 33), the man who was driving the Citroën explained to the officers that he was completely unaware of the presence of cocaine. He gave his explanation.

“I’m homeless. I stole this car two weeks ago to sleep in it. There, I wanted to go see my mother in Paris. But I saw she was with someone, so I made myself some KFC and watched a football match before leaving. »

“I am stunned”

In front of his judges, two days later, Benjamin maintained this version. But the analysis of his journey, by telephone, did not serve his interests. He left Bordeaux at 1:23 p.m. to arrive early in the evening in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis – dep. 93). He stayed there for 1h30 before getting back on the road. And during this time, he did not set foot in the capital.

Well-known to the courts for drug trafficking between Gironde and Spain, the 32-year-old man did not say much in court. “You are not very talkative,” observes the president. “I am stunned,” retorts the defendant.
