After the publication of our article on the conclusions of the accident expert, the mothers of Iris and Warren, killed on a scooter on August 22, 2022, wanted to react by sending us a letter.
They recall that “only the trial court is authorized to provide a response to the tragedy which cost the lives of their children. » They hope that “soon after the end of the investigation, a trial will take place so that responsibilities are established and that the perpetrators who contributed to the realization of this tragedy answer for their actions”.
For the moment, while refusing to comment on an expert opinion whose conclusions are not definitive, they protest against the mention of any responsibility of their children. They hope that the media will not act as judges and that they will respect their pain and the memory of Iris and Warren.”
Editor's note : In the article that was published, Progress did not act as a judge but only reported the expert's conclusions and clarified that the parties had expressed reservations about this report.
Furthermore, when contacted before the article was published, none of the parties wished to comment.
