Euro 2024: here is what the Devils have already pocketed financially (and what they could still win)

By qualifying (without the manner) for the round of 16 of Euro 2024, the Red Devils have earned the right to continue the German adventure. But they also gain financially… Our colleagues at HLN have done the calculations.

According to the Flemish media, a qualification for the Euro has already been reported 9.25 million euros for the Belgian Football Federation.

When it comes to group matches, they each also earn something depending on the result. Thus, the victory against Romania brought a million extra and draw against Ukraine 500.000 euros. The defeat against the Slovaks brought nothing to Belgium.

Eight million extra winnings for the big winner

What next? By qualifying for the eighth, UEFA will pay the Belgian Federation 1,5 million euros. In short, so far, the total amount of gains obtained by Belgium is therefore 12.25 million euros.

In the event of an exploit against France, Belgium would receive an additional 2.5 million euros. A victory in the quarter would bring in 4 million. Then going to the final would give 5 million euros more. And the team that will be crowned European champion will add… 8 million euros to its basket!

We visited the French central defense who will rub shoulders with the stars of the Devils: “I don’t know anyone who wants to play against him”

And what do the players pocket individually?

Please note that we are telling you here what each victory brings to the Federation. But what about the players, individually? According to our colleagues at HLN, by reaching the round of 16, each Devil is guaranteed to receive 96,000 euros. Added to this are image rights, estimated at 5,000 euros per match for group matches then 10,000 for the following rounds.

In the event of a victory against France, the Devils would amass new gains. A place in the quarter would earn them 172,000 euros each, a qualification for the semis 260,000 euros. If they reach the final, the Belgian players will receive 370,000 euros. And in the event of a final victory (it’s good to dream), each Devil would then leave with 435,000 euros to which must be added the image rights, i.e. a total amount of… 490.000 euros !
