Team Vietnam made history at the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, held from November 5 to 11 in the Maldives. By winning ten gold medals, five silver and eleven bronze medals, she placed herself at the top of the general ranking for the first time.

With a total of ten gold, five silver and eleven bronze medals, Vietnamese athletes proved their excellence against 380 participants from 41 countries and territories at the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships (WBPF). .
The combined efforts of twenty Vietnamese athletes, including eight women, made it possible to win titles in various categories. The exceptional performances of the women, notably Trân Thi Câm Tú and Nguyên Thi Kim Cuong, were decisive.

Among the notable moments, the impressive victory of Lê Thi Huong Giang, 49, captivated attention. She became the oldest champion in Vietnamese history in her category, winning gold in bodybuilding and classic fitness for women over 1.65m tall.
Another memorable triumph was that of Nguyên Thi Kim Cuong, who bagged two gold medals in the fitness and physical sport categories for women over 1.65m.
Among the men, Pham Van Phuoc consolidated his domination by retaining his title in bodybuilding and classic fitness for athletes measuring less than 1.60 m. Trân Hoàng Duy Thuân also caused a sensation by winning first place in the physical athletic category.
This triumph of the Vietnamese team at WBPF 2024 reflects not only their rigor in preparation but also their passion to excel on the international stage.
In addition to these individual performances, the Vietnamese team dominated the final ranking by nations, obtaining 1re place among women and 2e in men.
This year's success far exceeds that of 2023, marking the biggest victory in the history of Vietnamese bodybuilding.
At the previous championship in Seoul in 2023, Vietnam won eight gold, six silver and four bronze medals, occupying 3e place on the final ranking by nations.
