A dream come true.
When launching its adventure in the Coupe de France, each club imagines one thing in its head: to go to the end of the road and finish in Saint-Denis, at the Stade de France, in the spring. This is something done for USSA Vertou (National 3) which, after his defeat against Étoile Maritime (Regional 2), still won a ticket for the eighth round of the Coupe de France and won the right to travel to the pitch of FC Saint-Denis, in Reunion.
The commission agrees with Vertou
But then, how is this possible after a defeat normally synonymous with elimination? As reported West France, the Vertavians sent a message to the FFF concerning two players with obsolete licenses. One from a Senegalese club, but which does not hold an international transfer certificate, and the second which did not have the mention of transferred player while he played in a different club the previous season.
The disciplinary commission delivered a favorable verdict to Vertou, even if President Alban Atonatty did not want to make a fuss, recalling that they had “lost on the ground”. In the meantime, they are qualified and they will fly to Reunion Island.
The good life.
