The 19th edition of Livestock and Territory will take place this Saturday, June 29 in Meyrals, an event organized by the Cuma Dordogne and the Dordogne Chamber of Agriculture. Alexis Cornuez, territorial organizer of Périgord Noir, underlines the central role of this event in highlighting the rich agricultural fabric of the region. Historically marked by solidarity and mutual aid between producers, Périgord Noir displays a diversity of production and agricultural practices which will be highlighted during this event.

A program rich in activities and discussions

The Dordogne Chamber of Agriculture will present several stands promoting the different productions of Périgord Noir. Visitors will be able to discover the actions of the CrDA association, which supports collective development around agronomy and animal health. Among the themes covered, work on chestnuts and game damage management will be particularly highlighted.

Installation and transmission: crucial issues for young farmers

Alexis Cornuez insists on the importance of installation and transmission for young farmers in Périgord Noir. Advisors from the Chamber of Agriculture and the MSA will be present to answer questions from farmers at the end of their career and help them plan the transfer of their farms, whether family or non-management. This initiative aims to facilitate procedures and encourage generational renewal in the agricultural sector.
