Art Media Agency — Beth Boone wins the Berresford Prize

Arts administrator Beth Boone has been awarded the 2024 Berresford Prize, an unrestricted $50,000 grant awarded annually by United States Artists (USA). A donor-funded organisation founded in 2006, USA promotes the cultural value of American artists and aids in their economic support.\n

Boone holds a BA in Fine Arts from the College of Charleston in South Carolina and an MFA in Theater Arts from Brandeis University in Massachusetts. For the past 26 years, she has been a leader with the Miami Light Project, an experimental art and performance space in Miami, Florida. In addition to helping launch the careers of scores of artists and performers, Boone\u2019s work with that organisation helped to defeat an ordinance prohibiting cultural exchange with Cuba.\n

Prior to joining Miami Light Project, Boone served as the Associate Director of Development for Florida Grand Opera, Deputy Director and Interim Director for the Department of Cultural Affairs at Miami Dade College and was a founding member of two Off Broadway theatre companies.”,”html_fr”:”
