The municipality ofAlfortville is having a big party, and we’re all invited… This July 13, 2024celebrate National Holiday in this city of Val-de-Marne, and enjoy great free entertainment for the whole family. Meet at Île au Cointre park to dance and admire an exceptional fireworks display.

Located in the heart of 94, the town is surrounded by Créteil, Charenton-le-Pont, Choisy-le-Roi and Maisons-Alfort. The latter town and the commune of Alfortville also share a particular and unusual history. Indeed, in the 19th century, Alfortville was only a district of Maisons-Alfort. It was a restaurateur, named Charles Perrié, who began to nickname this place Alfortville, under the guise of humor. This new identity remained, and Alfortville officially became its own commune in 1885.

The city is home to several points of interest, including one fresco giant at the Town Hall, a mosaic by the painter Fernand Léger, an astonishing tourist complex, named Chinagora… And the Cointre Island park, which welcomes the July 14 festivities.
