VLadimir Putin signed the decree revising Russian nuclear doctrine, which broadens the possibilities for appeal. Following the announcement, in the early hours of Tuesday, the Kremlin spokesperson clarified: “It was necessary to adapt the foundations of our nuclear doctrine in view of the current situation. » In fact, the text mentions the use of atomic weapons in particular in response to a massive conventional attack or “an aggression against Russia by a non-nuclear State supported by a nuclear State”. To further drive the point home, Dimitri Peskov also added that “this very important text must be analyzed abroad”.
