Samsung has finally started deploying One UI 6 Watch on its Galaxy Watch 6. An update that will have been delayed.

We almost waited. While the Galaxy Watch 6 had not been updated since last March – despite Samsung's promises of quarterly updates – the Korean manufacturer finally launched the deployment of One UI 6 Watch.

As reported by the site Sam MobileSamsung has indeed launched the deployment of One UI 6 Watch for its Galaxy Watch 6, the connected watch launched last year by the Korean firm. As a reminder, this is the same software interface as that adopted natively by the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra launched last July.

One UI 6 Watch will allow the Galaxy Watch 6 to benefit from several new features such as the Samsung energy score, well-being advice or several system optimizations to save more battery. The system is also based on Wear OS 5 which also benefits from several new features, such as the new dial system “ Watch Face Format » or optimization of energy consumption.

A long overdue update

The wait will have been particularly long for the deployment of One UI 6 Watch on Samsung watches. It must be said that the beta phase dragged on until Samsung completed it at the end of October. Above all, it has now been eight months since Samsung last updated its Galaxy Watch 6, despite the promise of quarterly updates. Logically, the arrival of One UI 6 Watch will also allow you to benefit from the most recent security patch.

For the moment, only the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are affected by this update to One UI 6 Watch. The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 should, however, follow in the coming months. In addition, the deployment currently only concerns South Korea, but Samsung should very soon extend it to other markets, including .
