Sunday June 23, 2024, under the name “Grand Prix Argenton – La shirtrie”, the Creuse Valley tourist office and the Argenton museum of shirtmaking and masculine elegance have joined forces to organize a day on the theme of cycling.
A 10 km walk along the banks of the Creuse,
the Roman theater and the church
It all started in the morning with a 10 km guided bike ride. For the pleasure of the participants, five stops were planned, including a first on the Rabois promenade on the banks of the Creuse, before the old bridge, then towards Saint-Marcel up to the palis footbridge and return via the Roman theater, the Argentomagus church and museum.
A circuit to learn to move
In the afternoon, a religious activity was on the program, notably the one organized at the shirt museum which highlights the 1is Grand Prix Noveltex, a showcase for Rousseau establishments.
“Workshops were present on the Place de la République in Argenton where there was a circuit on the ground to teach young people how to ride a bike”indicated the organizers, who were joined by the director of the Argenton library, who offered a selection of books on cycling, which the public could consult all afternoon.
