TE-6 and TE-7 gas wells ready for launch of LNG production plant in Tendrara

British company Sound Energy announced on Tuesday 25 June the release and demobilisation of the Star Valley Rig 101 platform after carrying out re-production operations on the TE-6 and TE-7 gas wells in preparation for long-term gas production in the LNG plant being built on the site by Italfluid Geoenergy Srl.

The British company Sound Energy announced this Tuesday, June 25, the release and demobilization of the Star Valley Rig 101 platform after having carried out return-to-production operations on the TE-6 and TE-7 gas wells with a view to producing long-term gas in the LNG plant under construction on site by Italfluid Geoenergy Srl

“The return to production operations planned on the TE-6 and TE-7 gas wells were carried out safely without any recorded incident,” said Sound Energy.

The British company thanked “the dedication and professionalism of its contractors and suppliers, as well as the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (“ONHYM”) for their partnership and continued support.

The Company also announced that it successfully “removed the existing completion casings in the TE-6 and TE-7 wells and installed new corrosion-resistant completion casings in the TE-6 well, which is now ready to supply gas for the commissioning of the micro LNG plant whose construction is expected to be completed later this year.

“The platform is currently stacked at the TE-7 site, at no additional cost to the Company, pending additional wellhead equipment to complete the installation of the new completion casings in the TE-7 well,” concludes the press release.
