€131,091 won for €2 wagered. This is what a lucky punter from Quinté + won on Sunday June 16, during the Prix de Diane, by validating his ticket at the Café du Center in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, in Vendée.
He is a retired regular who comes almost every day and studies two newspapers each time before choosing his issues, reveals Jie Lin, the manager of the tobacco bar. He regularly earns small amounts but this is the first time he has won this much.
And the first time that the bar manager in two years has had a big winner, who wins a sum exceeding €100,000, in his establishment.
There are 103 big winners to have won such a sum since the start of 2024, reports PMU in a press release. This is the third in the department, the first having won €637,847 in January in Aubigny and the second €135,033 in April in Les Sables-d’Olonne. In 2023, only one big winner had won such a sum in Vendée: €115,109 in June in Landevieille.
