Antoine Rozner snatches the key at the end of the suspense
With this objective in mind, the French golfer did not give up at the end of a weekend full of twists and turns. Author of an average first card (70), he then did well on the second with a score of 65, which propelled him to the top of the rankings halfway through. A lead that he kept by signing a correct 69. However, the last eighteen holes proved more delicate, with increasing pressure exerted on his shoulders. A double bogey at hole number 9 will put an end to his hopes of victory, while threatening his place in To 5. In great danger, he will fight until the end, before making a liberating birdie at the final hole to loop a narrow 73 card.
He thus finished the Emirati tournament in 3rd place, 11 strokes under par, tied with the Irishman Shawe Lowryand the New Zealander Adam Scott. Enough to ensure the essential: accession to the PGA Tour. The other French players were more discreet, Romain Langasque taking 19th place, while Ugo Coussaud ranks 30th. The tournament was won by the Northern Irishman Rory McIlroyin front of the Dane Rasmus Hojgaard.
