The Miam 2024 Show opened with Cuba as a guest country and breaks a record number of exhibitors. Already, thousands of visitors are strolling the paths of the Méjannes-lès-Alès exhibition center, seduced by an edition, as usual, rich in new features and activities.
After celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in 2023 with great fanfare, the Miam show continues its momentum by hosting its 31st edition under the sign of Cuba, after having put Tahiti in the spotlight last year. The event, organized at the Alès Agglomération exhibition center in Méjannes-lès-Alès, has already recorded a promising outcome although its outcome remains to be seen. The show reached a new milestone by breaking its exhibitor record, with 46 participants compared to 40 during the previous edition.
In terms of attendance, the dynamic started in previous years is maintained: more than 6,500 visitors were counted on the first day, a figure which is close to that reached in 2023. “The record will be difficult to equal this year, but the feedback from exhibitors and visitors is positive”analyzes Eve Floutier, event manager at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gard, who generally declares herself already ” satisfied “ of this new edition. Her first as organizer following the retirement of Stéphane Fourdrigniez, present this Saturday.
In the aisles of the Exhibition Center, the show remains true to its spirit. Historical exhibitors, such as the Fromagerie des Cévennes, will encounter a notable proportion of newcomers this year, representing around 20% of the stands. If the evaluation of commercial performance remains ongoing since the show closes its doors Monday evening, the feedback collected on site seems to reflect a certain optimism. Exhibitors and visitors agree on the success of this edition, punctuated by activities such as those of the salsa dance association “Miguel de Cuba” at the entrance or the culinary demonstrations at stand H6 of “Saveurs du Miam”.
