The actor and his alcohol addiction
Without filter, Jean-Marie Bigard demonstrates incredible transparency. As was the case during his appearance on the show At Piscine de Jordan de Luxebroadcast on C8 on July 22. Facing the presenter, the 70-year-old comedian addressed several sensitive subjects, including his addiction to alcohol.
Lola Marois' companion notably returned to the difficult periods he went through because of this excessive consumption. This is how the actor spoke of incidents with his scooter who made him aware of the negative impact of alcohol on his life. “I realized alcohol was destroying me, I had eye-opening accidents”, he confided.
“I was so drunk I couldn't keep my balance anymore”
Alongside Jordan de Luxe, Jean-Marie Bigard added: “A few years ago, I fell several times on a scooter. Because my head was still fine, my scooter was still fine, there was one thing that was going wrong, it was the alcohol. When I started to understand, it's hard for a guy who is independent. It's hard to say, 'Damn, I have a problem with balance.‘”
Before continuing: “I was so drunk that I couldn't keep my balance anymore, saying to myself, but wait, I am the shame for my children if I can no longer stand.” Following this situation, the comedian decided to take control of his life. This is how he made the firm resolution to no longer drink alcohol. A decision that was beneficial to him, putting an end to his excessive alcohol consumption. However, if Jean-Marie Bigard managed to escape, this is not the case for one of his friends. Namely Pierre Palmade.

On February 10, 2023, Pierre Palmade's life changed. Indeed, the comedian caused a major traffic accident on a road in Seine-et-Marne. And this, while he was under the influence of cocaine and substitute drugs. Since then, the one who made a daring confession has been awaiting his trial. A situation which pushed the famous comedian to move away from his friends.
However, some still carry it in their hearts, as is the case with Jean-Marie Bigard. “I am still very close to the heart of Pierre Palmade because it was a writing brother. If I could snap my fingers and say to him 'Pierre, if tomorrow we have a little work session', I would be the happiest of men”, he confided. Before continuing: “It is associated with an event so dramatic that there, the elastic breaks, it stretches. His elastic broke. I had the chance to benefit from the talent of Pierre Palmade. I have no news today. As things stand, at the moment there are no contacts. The phone is a little broken.”That is clear.
