The highly anticipated UFC 309 gala featuring Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic is taking place this evening at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The two Americans will fight for the heavyweight title, held by Jones (27-1-0). The two were scheduled to fight at UFC 295 a year ago, but an injury forced Jones to withdraw from the event.

Jones’ last fight was in March 2023, when he defeated Frenchman Ciryl Gane by submission. Miocic (20-4-0), for his part, has not fought since his defeat against Francis Ngannou… in March 2021!
The card for this UFC 309 is well stocked beyond the main fight, while an expected clash between lightweights Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler is notably on the bill.
