Since the serious accident which took place on Monday June 17 on the RN145 between a heavy goods vehicle and a Dirco vehicle, the Creuse gendarmes carried out a vast control operation this Friday June 21. For its part, the Dirco gave news of the injured agent, and decided to file a complaint.

Monday June 17, one of the occupants of a vehicle from the Central-West Interdepartmental Roads Directorate (Dirco) was treated in an absolute emergency after an accident that occurred near the Espérance area. While the latter was patrolling on the right, two heavy goods vehicles began to overtake him. But the second had not shifted sufficiently and had hit the van, causing it to spin across the road, until it came to rest against the central barrier.

The only Dirco agent who was on board, a 60-year-old man, had to be extricated. An assessment carried out by the Smur 23 led to him being placed in absolute emergency, then evacuated to the Limoges University Hospital with Hélismur 87.

Traffic had been completely cut off in the Limoges-Guéret direction.

Following the accident involving a heavy goods vehicle and a Dirco vehicle at the start of the week, the Creuse gendarmes deployed a major device on the ground and in the air on Friday June 21 at the end of the afternoon. in order to track violations of the Highway Code, in particular failure to respect safety distances, on the RN145.

Supported by a helicopter, eight motorcycles, including one unmarked, from the Creuse departmental road safety squadron and an unmarked vehicle were deployed along the axis. Five offenses were thus noted, as announced by the Creuse gendarmerie on social networks.

The Central-West DIR gave news of its agent, injured on Monday: traumatized, he suffered facial fractures and was prescribed 15 days of total incapacity for work (ITT). The Centre-West DIR filed a complaint, and specifies that this is the fifth accident of the year.

According to our colleagues from France Bleu Creuse, the Portuguese truck driver responsible for the accident was tried at the Guéret court. He was given a six-month suspended prison sentence and a three-month ban on driving on French territory.
