Investigations by the Northern Tornadoes Project confirmed five tornadoes in a single day on June 13 in Quebec.

On June 13, a storm hit western Quebec. Three of the five tornadoes were listed as EF2, while the other two were listed as EF1.

It was the analysis of satellite images that made it possible to discover the trajectory of these tornadoes. The organization had to wait a week for them to be available.

Where did the tornadoes hit?

The first took place at Nodier Lake (Témiscamingue) at 5:30 p.m. The second took place at Pointe Albert (Decelles reservoir) at 5:45 p.m. The third hit Bend Lake (Val-d’Or) at 6:15 p.m., while at the same time a fourth tornado raged at Lake Kwîkwîcî in the same region. The last one took place at Lake Darbit (Vallée-de-l’Or) at 6:45 p.m.

Note that at Nodier Lake, Albert Point and Bend Lake, gusts of 90 km/h were recorded.
