At the beginning of November, the municipal stadium underwent a complete transformation, marking the launch of large-scale renovation work. The project mainly focuses on replacing natural grass with artificial grass. Before tackling this major step, preparatory work is necessary. The first phase consisted of dismantling the handrail surrounding the field. For this operation, the technical agents of the town hall of Baraqueville were able to count on the reinforcement of those of Moyrazès.
The structure of the handrail will not be lost: it will be reused on the Armeniès football field, thus giving the equipment a second life. Then, a major public works project will take over, with the stripping of the current lawn and the rerouting of the rainwater network pipe which passes under the land. This pipe, supplied from the heights of Baraqueville, had to be moved to avoid future work under the synthetic turf, which would have damaged this new installation.
The cost of this project, estimated at nearly 900,000 euros, provides for a return of players to the stadium by the end of spring 2025.
