The move of the pharmacy Galerie du Chapeau-Rouge in the city center of Quimper (Finistère) dates back to June 2023. Its former premises located a little further away will have remained vacant for a little over a year.

Larger premises

The merchant had been eyeing the premises of the old Paris pharmacy for several months.

When I opened my cheese factory, I already wanted to set up there! My project is to get closer to all the food professions and to invest in a premises with an identity and a family history. He has in fact seen three generations of pharmacists pass through.

Inside, he undertook work. “The sales area is 130 m2. We will use 60 to 80 of them and divide them into two spaces: one for the sale of cheeses, cold meats and catering products and the other for wines. » Right next door, a small tasting area will be developed.

The back room houses a cold room, a laboratory, work spaces.

Opening hoped for before Christmas

Five people are employed at Laiterie Gilbert. At the back of the store, break and training areas will be set up. “The idea is to recreate a living space. In this area, there will finally be a room to accommodate people who organize receptions,” adds Nicolas Lohéac.

The construction started a few weeks ago. Nicolas Lohéac hopes to open his new store “before Christmas”. And to conclude: “The goal is to have moved on December 15th. Everything will depend on the tests on our cold room. »
