An immersion in the world of flamenco. This Friday, November 15, the Mathilde Anton company presents “Puntos Cardinales” at the Municipal Theater of Auch, in Gers. This intimate show features four artists who invite their spectators “to accompany them on the roads of a Flamenca Reverie”. Singing, dance, guitar, percussion will retrace the cultural and musical heritage of the lands “which forged flamenco.” The show will begin at 9 p.m.

The festival continues from Saturday at 10 a.m. The meeting is set at the Salle des Cordeliers for Flamenco courses, “Fiestas por Tangos”. Two sessions are offered, first the “Baile Flamenco”, led by Mathilde Anton. “This session will guide you in learning the basic steps and expressions specific to the tango style.”

Half an hour of discussions

Another session, scheduled for the same time slot, “Palmas, compas y estribillos”, will be chaired by Juan Manuel Cortés. “This work on musicality and coordination is essential to understanding the foundations of flamenco,” explains the organization.

To end the morning, a final discussion is proposed at 11:30 a.m. “At the end of the course, the two groups will meet for a half-hour discussion.” Finally, at 6:30 p.m., refreshments and catering will be offered on site, with musical entertainment Sevillanes / Rumbas by musicians from the Luz del Alma association.
