This is a first step in Sohaib Teima's legal journey.
This young Italian, the main suspect in the death of Auriane, a Lyonnaise woman stabbed in an abandoned church in Val d'Aosta last spring, saw his conviction for domestic violence confirmed.
These facts predate the murder of Auriane. The young woman from Saint-Priest had denounced this violence before the couple met again and left for Italy for one last macabre trip.
The Criminal Appeals Chamber of the Grenoble Court of Appeal confirmed this Wednesday the sentence of Sohaib Teima to 6 months in prison, compared to the 18 months, half of which was suspended, required by the Advocate General.
Sohaib Teima is not done with French justice. Arrested on April 11 in Lyon, he had previously had a violent altercation with security guards at a supermarket in the capital of Gaul. He will therefore appear in a few weeks at the Lyon judicial court.
Only then can he finally be tried in Italy for the murder of Auriane.
