The occupant of the burning apartment, a 41-year-old man, managed to escape via the balconies. He was slightly poisoned by the fumes. Another resident of the building, a 36-year-old man, had to be extricated by three firefighters. Discomforted by the fumes, all three were taken to hospital.
The flames spread to the roof of the building and the burning apartment, with a surface area of 40 m², was completely destroyed.
In all, 23 firefighters were mobilized for the operation.
