A spectacular fire ravaged a chalet in Montricher-Albanne last night in Maurienne. Around 2:30 a.m. this Wednesday, the fire broke out in a chalet, located on Route des Adrets, in Montricher-Albanne. Quickly alerted, the Savoie firefighters went to the scene. They found the home completely engulfed in flames. Thanks to their rapid intervention, the fire was contained.
The owner safe and sound
Although the building suffered heavy damage and caused significant material damage, the owner of the chalet managed to escape the building in time. He does not suffer any injuries. No residents were present in the home at the time of the fire.
Operations still in progress
Although the fire was extinguished overnight, firefighters continued their operations this morning to secure the scene and prevent any resumption of the fire. The causes of this fire remain unknown at this time. An investigation will be opened to determine the origin of the disaster.
