The facts date back to April 25, 2023. Gabriel, then aged 15, lured little Rose-Izabela to her mother in Rambervillers (Vosges) under the pretext of wanting to show her a kitten. Once in the apartment, he undressed the 5-year-old girl and drowned her in the bathtub. Then he places her body in a plastic bag.
A “worrying” profile
In a document dated July 2023, the teenager’s words send chills down your spine: “ For three or four days, I had the idea of drowning someone. I drowned it for fun. I was zen when it happened “. At the time of the events, he had just been sentenced to two years in prison for rape and sexual assault on two boys aged 11 and 12.
During his trial, psychiatric experts judged his profile to be “worrying” and highlighted a “major” danger. If one of them has retained the alteration of discernment, the “ six psychiatrists write that he is perverse, that he is sadistic, that there is a criminological danger, and that the risk of recidivism is inevitable », Lists Me Stéphane Giuranna, the lawyer for Rose-Izabela’s family. Another expert speaks of a “ personality with a psychological profile that can be similar to that of the serial killer Francis Heaulme “. Questioned during the hearing about the presence of semen on the little girl’s clothes, Gabriel admitted to having masturbated after committing the murder.
When the sentence was announced, the maximum penalty for a minor, the teenager did not react.
