Two men who allegedly participated in the shooting death of rapper “Dirty S” last month in Montreal were arrested Tuesday.

The first suspect, a 25-year-old man, was nabbed in Saint-Jérôme in the Laurentians, while the second 31-year-old individual was arrested on the other side of the country, in Prince George, in British Columbia.

Nearly a hundred agents and investigators from various police forces participated in this operation.

The two suspects are expected to appear in the coming hours on a charge of premeditated murder, the worst in the Criminal Code.

The two men are suspected of having murdered Christopher Shawn Jean Vilsaint, 27, a rapper well known in the industry under the name “Dirty S”, on the evening of May 14.

According to our information, the victim tried to avoid the bullets fired at him by hiding behind a car.

By raising his head to see who was shooting, Jean Vilsaint received a projectile in the head.

He was pronounced dead shortly after.

The murder was committed directly in front of a recording studio located on avenue du Parc, at the corner of rue Legendre Ouest, in the Ahuntsic district.

The news of his death spread like wildfire on social networks, sparking many reactions. In light of the many derogatory comments published, the rapper was not unanimous and seemed to have made a lot of enemies over the years.

According to police sources, before his death, Christopher Shawn Jean Vilsaint had links with the blue allegiance street gang VLY BOYZ, based in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension district.

In October 2021, he was charged in connection with credit card fraud.

The motive surrounding his murder has not been revealed by authorities.
