“We are French Jews, and we want to make our voice heardtestifies Michèle Bensoussan, president of the Simone Veil Jewish Cultural Center. We stand in solidarity with Israel and their suffering. And we denounce the anti-Semitism of which we are victims.”

Many participants were dressed in black and wore a yellow ribbon, a symbol of solidarity with the captives and their families. Everyone held up a poster bearing the portrait of an Israeli topped with the words “kidnapped”and sometimes “murdered”.

116 hostages in Gaza

Of 251 people kidnapped during the terrorist attack perpetrated by Hamas, 116 are still being held in Gaza, of whom 41 are dead, according to the Israeli army.

The rally that took place last night took place without incident. “Palestine will live, Palestine will win”, however, shouted a young woman as she passed in front of the Opéra Comédie. She was accompanied a little further by the police.

This Saturday at 3 p.m., on this same Place de la Comédie, it is the defenders of the Palestinian cause who are calling for demonstrations to “demand an end to the ongoing genocide and denounce “Jerusalem Day”, scheduled for this Sunday, June 23” in Grammont.
