Belgium must redeem itself. Two years after a catastrophic World Cup and a hasty exit from the group stage, the Red Devils begin Euro 2024, this Monday, June 17 (6 p.m.) against Slovakia, a new major international meeting approached as than outsiders.
Belgium’s impressive series
Domenico Tedesco’s players have not lost since the World Cup in Qatar, on November 27, 2022 against Morocco (2-0), and remain on an impressive series of 15 matches without defeat. They completed the qualifiers at the top of their group (6 wins, 2 draws), just ahead of Austria, and convinced in preparation, with two successes against Montenegro (2-0) then Luxembourg (3-0).
Facing them, Slovakia does not lack confidence either. After finishing second in his group in qualifying, behind the untouchable Portugal, Milan Skriniar and his teammates crushed San Marino (4-0) then Wales (4-0) in recent days.
The two selections want to launch their Euro in the best possible way, before challenging Romania and Ukraine.
