A singer for over sixty years, Salvatore Adamo, who recently suffered from health problems, found success in the 1960s. As reported Le Figarothe 80-year-old artist has sold more than 90 million albums during his career, thanks to hits like Please allow sir, Girls by the Sea or Snow Falls. Guest on the set of the show Looking forward to Sunday, presented by Michel Drucker and broadcast on France 3, this June 16, the interpreter made some confidences about his family life. He particularly spoke of the death of his father with emotion.
He explained that the latter had lost his life at the age of 46 (he himself was 22 and a half years old at the time). On vacation in Sicily, he wanted to help the singer’s sister and a cousin. Salvatore Adamo said: “I was in concert in Biarritz, while he was on vacation in Sicily with the whole family. And then, it seems, one of my sisters was playing with one of her cousins who was in difficulty. And my father thought they were in trouble. He dove in. The water was very cold, he had just eaten… Well, there were a lot of bad circumstances. He had a hydrocution and a heart attack in the water. . So.”

Several scenes scheduled for November 2024
The 80-year-old singer had no choice but to postpone several concerts which were to take place at the Grand Rex last October, due to health problems, reported BFMTV. Back on stage since May 2024, he returned to this episode in his life, when he was a guest on RTL. “I had pulmonary edema, due to stress, fatigue… It took me a little over six months to recover. I still had a heart attack at 40, so it left small after-effects “Of course, having pulmonary edema could affect my heart, that’s why it was important for me to get some rest.”he indicated.
Fans of singer Salvatore Adamo will be able to find the artist on stage on November 1 and 6, respectively at the Olympia in Paris and in Nantes, our colleagues said.
