A “hybrid tavern” in the works in Langon, but what is it?

Do you know the CCD, Committee Against Dehydration of Langon (Gironde) ? Its psychedelic and colorful logo recently appeared on social networks. He doesn’t lack humor.

This is the project carried out by two partners from Langon, a man, aged around twenty, and a woman, in her forties.

Both come from the world of events and commerce. Their project – a “hybrid tavern” – being in progress, they prefer to remain discreet.

From midnight, the place transforms into a night club, festival mode, with DJs and big sound.

Moreover, on its Instagram page, the CCD is looking for producers of cold meats, cheeses, DJs and music groups.

Concerts and DJs

“Our primary objective is to please as many people as possible. In the first part of the evening we can find concerts by groups of variety, rock, jazz, folk, sax or even the world music. In the second part of the evening, DJ’s of all styles: EDM, funky house, afro, remix, etc. »

This hybrid tavern will open outdoors from April to October, with an indoor bar for the winter. It will be open 7 days a week in the evening from 5 p.m. and on Sundays it will offer a brunch menu.

“We found a place in Langonnais, less than 5 km from Langon, adds the associate. Our goal is to get everyone working locally on our innovative concept and to diversify the field of possibilities in Langon. »

We want to work 90% with local players. We are all actors in the local economy.

The project leaders approached the Carré de Langon association for their squadron of DJs, local beer producers.

“We will offer a more elaborate tavern type menu for catering with mix of boards. Musically, we want programming that changes every week on our two stages: live session and DJ. »

“People can support us”

As for the “warm-up”, when the DJ warms up the room before giving way to the headliner during parties or festivals, the CCD raises curiosity on the networks.

The opening of the CCD hybrid tavern is planned for 2025.
