A great figure in medicine, in 1971 she became the first female cardiac surgeon in France, after attending her first heart operation at the Laennec hospital in Paris. Founder of the association of which Paul Belmondo is the ambassador, the latter knew him well.
“I remember this lunch with Professor Francine Leca who explained to me what the association was doing for these children from developing countries, namely bringing them to France so that they could have surgery in the best conditions. possible”, he recalled to France Sunday.
