Thus, the arrested suspects, Nicolas Brossard, 18 years old, and Muwaz Ullah, 19 years old, will appear today at the Longueuil courthouse on different charges.
The three accomplices who were arrested in this case are two minors aged 17, a girl and a
boy, as well as a 20-year-old man. They were released by the police pending further proceedings.
Remember that on January 18, Gabriel Lauzier, 20, died after being shot in the parking lot outside the Saint-Lambert station. He was found by patrol officers in critical condition. He died of injuries a few hours later.
According to police, it was a transaction for narcotics and/or vaping tools that went wrong.
Fraudsters arrested for data theft at Desjardins
Laval police announced Wednesday the arrest of three people in connection with fraud following the data leak at Desjardins.
This data leak led to fraud totaling more than $8.9 million, mainly on the Accès Daffaires platform, between September 2018 and January 2019.
A fourth individual is wanted on an arrest warrant.
Note that one of the suspects had in his possession the personal data of 1.6 million Desjardins customers.
It should be noted that it was the fraudsters and not the thieves who were arrested.
