The management of Paris SG has decided on the question of recruiting the Portuguese striker, Viktor Gyokeres.
With the very probable departure of Randal Kolo Muani, PSG risks finding itself short of solutions at the center forward position next January. The Ile-de-France club will only have Gonçalo Ramos as an option in this register. And again, there is great uncertainty surrounding the Portuguese international's fitness as he comes out of several months of unavailability.
Lately, the name of Viktor Gyokeres has been circulating around Paris as a potential reinforcement. Steps were even taken to seek out the Sporting scorer. But this is unlikely to be repeated during the winter transfer window.
PSG considers Gyokeres too expensive
According to information published in Le Parisien, PSG considers the Swedish international too expensive. Its price is estimated between €75 and €100 million. It is not so much the amount that poses a problem but the fear that the person concerned will not live up to the investment, and drag out the compensation for their transfer like a ball and chain. However, since the start of the season, the player has shown that he knows how to handle pressure. He has scored 23 goals in 17 matches played, including three last Tuesday against Manchester City in the Champions League.
Furthermore, if he were to bet on him, Paris will not be able to use Gyokeres during the final phase of the C1 if he ever qualifies. Any participant in the event cannot compete in the competition under two different colors during the same season. On the other hand, it is possible that this file will resurface in the summer of 2025. To be continued…
