The jury, chaired by Grégoire Delacourt was composed of Karin Hann, Philippe Chauveau, Michel De Jaeghere, Franck Duval (FKL), Floryse Grimaud, Dominique Guiou, Pascal Ory of the French Academy, Nicolas Pagnol And Jean-Noël Pancrazi. He rewarded “ a sensitive, funny, moving, fair novel about the lost world of childhood and its disappearing universe. Here that of a farm, in Ardèche, where Marion grew up, with its landscapes, its animals, its men and their dreams. »

A prize on the theme of childhood memories

Marion Fayolle succeeds Joseph of Antwerpwho won the prize in 2023 for his novel An ordinary boy (Shore).

Created and organized by Floryse Grimaud, the Marcel Pagnol Prize has, since 2000, recognized a novel published at the start of the spring school year on the theme of childhood memories dear to Marcel Pagnol. In 2024, around forty books have been offered for the prize.

The Marcel Pagnol Prize is endowed with 3,000 euros by the Marcel Pagnol Endowment Fund managed by Nicolas Pagnol, grandson of Marcel Pagnol.
