In total, they waited seven hours before arriving at their destination. 200 people spent a difficult night on board a Hendaye- train. The TER, which left Hendaye around 8 p.m., got stuck on the tracks between Ychoux and Labouheyre in the Landes, in the middle of the night this Friday, November 22. The cause was a catenary problem. Passengers stranded in the cold

A power outage which impacted travelers in the carriages: no light or electricity in the middle of the night and in winter temperatures. It was only around midnight that customers were able to board a Hendaye- TGV to reach Bordeaux. They arrived there after 3 a.m., 7 hours after their departure.

A Paris- TGV also delayed

The gendarmerie, police, firefighters, civil protection and SNCF agents intervened in this train change. Arriving in Bordeaux, passengers who had connections were able to sleep at the hotel before resuming their journey this Saturday morning.

400 passengers on a Paris-Tarbes TGV were also impacted by the breakdown that same night, and arrived at their destination more than 4 hours late on arrival.

Delays this Saturday

The SNCFapologizes for the inconvenience” and provides for exceptional compensation of 150%. Usually up to 75% for a delay of more than 3 hours. Traffic was still impacted this Saturday with delays ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours. The SNCF indicates that traffic will be restored 100% from Saturday noon.
