The message was displayed this Thursday, November 7 on the “Pocket” light panels in Couchey, but undoubtedly also elsewhere. We could read that around ten caravan thefts had been committed in the Côte-d’Or department, probably by a team of criminals coming from the Paris region.
A call for witnesses to report suspicious vehicles
The gendarmerie explains that the perpetrators targeted utility vehicles looking for portable power equipment and therefore advises professionals who have tools inside their vehicle(s) to be particularly vigilant and, as far as possible, to park them under cover. It also asks to report any suspicious behavior or any vehicle that could correspond to a list of reported vehicles:
– VOLKSWAGEN GOLF gray new model registered ??-606-XJ
– 2 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF dark blue new models registered ??-471-QP and ??-716-PF
– AUDI RSQ8 black registered in Germany RSNE???
– PEUGEOT 308 gray new model registered ??-148-VT
– OPEL GRANLAND new model registered ??-114-RF
What to do if you see these vehicles
In addition to calling for vigilance regarding the presence of one of the vehicles reported, the gendarmes are asking for dial immediately the 17th if you see a vehicle matching the description and under no circumstances try to intervene on your own.
