Taken from the historical account The King’s Assassin by British author and journalist Benjamin Woolley published in 2017, Mary & George contains many intimate sequences, which required Nicholas Galitzin of undressing while George moves from partner to partner and sleeps with the king. But the new Hollywood star says it wasn’t as emotionally and physically taxing as viewers may think. “It was always about George” he explained to Entertainment Weekly. “Telling George’s story, discovering who he is in these moments and how he achieved such power through his dominating nature”. Nicholas Galitzin still remembers a particularly trying day.

“There was one day where we shot like four sex scenes in one day.”he remembered. I went from room to room meeting strangers and telling them : “Hello, I’m Nick, nice to meet you. Ok, here’s the position we’re going to be in.” These intimate scenes of George allowed Nicholas Galitzin to get into character more easily. “You experience vicariously the feeling of power of this man”indicated the one who comes from a royal family. “It’s an incredibly empowering feeling. We had a wonderful intimacy coordinator, and for the day actors who came in for these singular scenes, I hope I made them feel comfortable. But I’m very proud of all the work we have accomplished together.”
