In Ljubljana, the end of the match changed this time for JL Bourg!

Beaten four times in its last five meetings, JL Bourg revived in Ljubljana. The Bressan club managed the last minute of their game against Cedevita well by placing an 8-0 to finally win with a score of 80 to 88. Thanks to this success, JL Bourg remains on the podium of its group, behind Valencia (5-0) and tied with Hapoel Jerusalem.

Two decisive caused fouls from Xavier Castaneda

After parting ways at the start of the week with the winner of the last edition of the EuroCup, Mehdy NgouamaJL Bourg hoped to get back on track by returning to European competition this Wednesday, November 6. Plagued by some doubts due to its current bad series (four defeats in five matches), prompting the club to want to change its squad, Bourg-en-Bresse at least had the merit of leaving with the victory for Slovenia.

If everything was not reassuring, the Burgiens nevertheless showed solidity not to crack in the money-time, which had been lacking during the two previous defeats in the EuroCup, at Lietkabelis and against Aris Salonika. Still tied in the last minute with a Cedevita team which must do without its coach Zvezdan Mitrovic for several matches, JL Bourg has forced its opponent to make costly errors. His scoring rear Xavier Castaneda (16 points at 5/13 on shots and 10 fouls caused) first caused an offensive foul, then a defensive one to obtain three free throws converted in the process (80-83). A decisive one-possession advantage since the Slovenes never managed to score behind, forcing them to send JL Bourg to the free throw line.

JL Bourg thus begins its 4-match road trip with a victory against the partners of a good Joan Beringer (6 points and 8 rebounds in 16 minutes of play), before continuing his multiple trips to this Saturday, November 9 (8:30 p.m.).
